When you interact with GoTechPlace through our web portal or mobile applications (Student Hub, Business Portal, Admin Console), we may collect the following categories of data:
- Account Identity: Mobile phone number verified via SMS OTP through Google Firebase Authentication.
- Academic Details: Full name, university email, institute/college name, engineering branch, academic year, and semester for student profiles.
- Professional Portfolio: Resumes (PDF), GitHub URLs, LinkedIn profile links, and technical project history uploaded for job placement applications.
- Enterprise Employer Data: Company name, authorized recruiter contact, work email, and job listing requirements.
- Device Diagnostics: Device model, OS version, and crash telemetries to diagnose stability issues through Firebase Crashlytics.
- Website Analytics: Pages visited, approximate city-level location, browser and device type, and referral source, collected through Google Analytics 4 using cookies to understand how the website is used. We do not send names, phone numbers, or email addresses to Google Analytics. You can opt out with the Google Analytics opt-out add-on.

3Security & Cloud Storage
All communications between your browser/mobile app and our backend servers are secured using TLS 1.3 encryption in transit. Application data is stored within Google Cloud Firestore database clusters in the Asia region.
Strict Firestore security rules enforce role-based access control, preventing cross-tenant access between students, business partners, and administrative accounts. Only authorized personnel have operational access under audited administrative permissions.
4User Rights & Account Deletion
You maintain complete authority over your personal data. Under Indian IT regulations and international privacy frameworks, you have the right to:
- Inspect and update your profile details at any time from within app settings.
- Request a copy or export of your submitted data records.
- Permanently delete your account and associated resume files using our self-service deletion option.
